All lots shall be held in pursuance of an act of the Legislature passed on April 27, 1847 and the Acts amendatory thereof, and shall not be used for any purpose other than a place for the burial of the dead.
Deed holders of eight (8)-grave plots may erect thereon any proper stones or monuments; the base stone may be 6’4” overall, 1’2” wide overall, die 3’ long overall, with height not to exceed 3’. A diagram of said memorial showing style and dimensions is to be submitted to the parish office for approval.
Deed holders of two (2), three (3), four (4), or six (6)-grave plots may erect thereon any proper stones or monuments; the base stone may be 3’8” overall, 1’2” wide overall, die 3’ long overall, with height not to exceed 3’. A diagram of said memorial showing style and dimensions is to be submitted to the parish office for approval.
On single graves, flat markers only are allowed. The foundation must be approved by the parish office.
Deed holders are asked to contact the parish office before engaging a monument dealer.
Borders or fences around graves are not permitted.
Statues atop memorials are not permitted. An open cross shall not exceed 6” overall; a diagram of the cross showing style and dimensions is to be submitted to the parish office for approval.
On two (2) and three (3)-grave plots, monuments may lettered on only one side. Corner posts shall be flat marble, 4” or 6” in size.
Mausoleums are not permitted.
All plots include an assessment for the perpetual care of the cemetery; said assessment does not include maintenance of headstones, monuments, etc.
No grave will be opened, nor permission given for erection of headstones, monuments, etc., until all assessments are paid in full.
Planting of flowers shall be under the direction of the cemetery authorities; glass containers and shrubs are not permitted; deed holders are asked to use metal receptacles only. Potted plants and grace decorations may be placed on graves for holy days and holidays, but are to be removed within a reasonable time after the celebration, or as soon as weather permits. Any plantings and/or decorations in violation will be removed without notice.
No deed or conveyance of any title of interest in said plot is to be executed, but that the whole title thereto, and the legal possession transferable or assignable by act of law or otherwise, without the written consent of the Church of St. John the Evangelist.
