The devastation of the Reproductive Health Act offers an opportunity for new growth and revitalization in our pro-life efforts within each parish of the archdiocese. Sr. Virginia Joy, SV, director of the Respect Life Office, and Sr. Pia Jude, SV, will be hosting a meeting for all parishes in the Orange County area to discuss ideas of how the Holy Spirit can be at work in moving us forward in building a culture of life. If you are interested in offering your time, talent, or treasure to assist in pro-life works, please join them on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at 7:00pm at John S. Burke Catholic High School in Goshen.
Our youth will hold soup pots at the church doors on Souper Bowl of Caring Weekend, February 2-3, 2019. They will join young people in houses of worship across the country to collect money for those who are hungry and hurting. In 2018, $8.15 million was collected by Souper Bowl of Caring participants for local charities. All of the money collected is donated to a charity selected by the participant - none of the money is sent to the Souper Bowl of Caring headquarters. Please support the youth of our parish in this effort to “love our neighbors” by dropping your $5 and a canned food item in the soup pot on the weekend of February 2-3. All donations will go to The Goshen Ecumenical Food Pantry.
